Terms of Use
1. Acceptance
By creating an account on BrightRevision, you agree to these terms. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must also agree. If you are under 13, a parent or guardian must create the account on your behalf.
2. The service
BrightRevision provides GCSE Computer Science revision tools including multiple-choice quizzes, flashcards, Python coding challenges, and progress tracking. The service is provided by Learn Computer Science Ltd trading as BrightRevision ("we").
3. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when registering
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure
- You may not share your account with others
- We may suspend accounts that violate these terms
4. Subscriptions and payments
- Access to the full platform requires an active subscription
- Subscriptions are billed monthly (individual) or annually (school)
- You may cancel at any time - access continues until the end of the billing period
- Refunds are at our discretion for unused periods
- Payments are processed by Stripe - we do not store card details
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Attempt to access other users' data
- Reverse engineer, copy or redistribute the platform or its content
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
- Submit abusive, offensive or harmful content in any text field
- Attempt to circumvent subscription verification
6. Content
Questions, flashcards and challenges are created by us or licensed content. You may not copy or redistribute them. Content you create (personal flashcard decks, extended question answers) remains yours, but you grant us a licence to store and display it as part of the service.
7. Teacher and parent accounts
Teachers using school licences are responsible for ensuring their students use the platform appropriately. Parents linking to student accounts consent to monitoring that student's progress data.
8. Limitation of liability
BrightRevision is an educational tool. We make no guarantees about exam outcomes. We are not liable for any loss arising from use of the platform, service interruptions, or data loss beyond our reasonable control.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
